Course Aims
The module is at a proficiency level, which should aim to provide the student with the practical knowledge
and skills to be able to manage asbestos in buildings and give a knowledge base to audit asbestos
removal projects.

Course Assessment
This will be assessed as follows:
A 1 hour 15 minute MCQ BOHS examination (45 questions)

A practical assessment carried out by the course provider. This will include evaluation of a method
statement submitted by a contractor and the production of a report indicating items for improvement.


Course Length
It is envisaged that this course will be run over 4 days with approx 25 hours teaching time and practical work.
The final assessment will take about 4-5 hours.
